Documenting Legacy for the Record
MCHOPI Media Legacy undertakes focused documentary and archival work centred on historical record and legacy preservation. Our work is selective and research led. Each engagement begins with a careful assessment of the historical material, its context, and the significance of the record in question. We prioritise accuracy, integrity, and responsibility over volume or visibility. We work with individuals, families, and estates to document personal and collective histories that carry long-term significance.
This work is approached with discretion, sensitivity, and respect for the record. Not all work undertaken by MCHOPI Media Legacy is public facing. Some records are preserved privately, and some projects remain archival in nature. Engagement is considered on a case-by-case basis. Our foundation is built on the principle that meaningful historical preservation requires depth over breadth, and substance over spectacle. We measure success not by the number of projects completed, but by the enduring quality and integrity of each historical record we help preserve.
